I'll be graduating high school soon. Looking back makes me excited to look forward. I'll be going to University of Toronto, so if anyone wants to be my friend up there, you'll be more than welcome! I have much more time on my hands for the next two months so hopefully I'll be able to crank some art out. I have a couple commissions lined up and some ideas floating around so we shall see. Who's excited for college?

No it's not. It's silly. I had a project over the summer to fill up at least half of a sketchbook with drawings from life (none from images). The problem was I was hardly home this summer. I went up to Maine for an incredibly intense Outward Bound course with backpacking and sailing. We hiked over 50 miles from Maine to New Hampshire then got a ride in a van back up to Portland, Maine and then headed out on a 30 feet Pullboat with 10 people.  We sailed over 150 miles up to Mount Desert Island, did some community service carrying logs up a mountain and being burly, then sailed back down and finished up the course.   Naturally I filled like ma

AP exams are almost done, guess what that means? ART SPLOSION. i'm hoping at least. I haven't updated this journal in like a year and i'm pretty sure i haven't done a serious drawing in a LONG ass time. I pledge allegiance to the sketchbook of my underused art supplies and to the culture for which it stands, one paper, under a pencil, unequivocal, with frustration and inspiration for all. After May 11th i should have all the free time necessary to do something artsy and i plan on perhaps taking down my oils and trying my hand at the good old canvas. But for now i should stop procrastinating and actually study for these damn exams.
